Thank you for 68 years of love, honor, education, hard work, fun, and for being an example of

how to be a man. I learned so much from you and promise to carry that knowledge forward. As

I’ve gotten older, I now understand the sacrifices you made so I wouldn’t face the same struggles

you did early in life.


I’m grateful for all our talks—especially when you reminded me to “use my booty” and think things through. I especially thank you for standing by me, encouraging me, and celebrating me on my educational journey. Thank you for being Grand Dad to my kids—your pride and joy. Now it’s your time to rest, to receive your Crown, your mansion, and hear, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.” We will miss you and carry your legacy forward.
